Coos & Views: A hosted farm experience at Nether Glenny Farm
Step into the heart of the farm
Coos & Views is our small-group farm experience, offering a relaxed and immersive way to meet our much-loved Highland cattle while exploring the landscape of the Menteith Hills.
Hosted by us here at Nether Glenny Farm, the experience combines close encounters with the coos, off-road exploring, storytelling and time to enjoy the scenery. It’s designed to be friendly, informal and welcoming, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions, take photographs and spend time outdoors. Click here to find out what to expect.
What to expect from Coos & Views
Meet the Highland coos
Venture out into the fields to meet our Highland cows and their calves. You’ll get wonderfully close, learn about their individual personalities, and discover how we care for our fold throughout the year. There’s often a sense of excitement as the cattle move across the fields, adding energy and character to the experience, always under calm supervision.
Guests regularly comment on how relaxed and gentle the animals are, with plenty of opportunities to observe them up close and, where appropriate, enjoy a gentle stroke.
Caring for land and nature
As part of the experience, we share how we look after the land using traditional farming techniques alongside rewilding and nature-led projects. You’ll learn how farming, wildlife and landscape can work together to support biodiversity and long-term land health, and why this approach matters for the future of this special place.
Off-road exploring
Travel comfortably across the farm in our Kawasaki buggy or the Nether Glenny trailer for larger groups. No high level of fitness is required, making Coos & Views accessible to most visitors while allowing you to reach parts of the farm you wouldn’t otherwise see.
Views worth slowing down for
Coos & Views takes you into quieter corners of the farm, opening up wide views across the Lake of Menteith and the surrounding hills. There’s time to pause, take photographs and enjoy the scenery, with the Highland cattle very much centre stage.
Farm treats and a warm welcome
After time out on the farm, you’ll enjoy coffee, tea and home baking in The Pantry with us. This is a chance to relax, warm up and continue conversations around the table. While you’re there, you can browse a small selection of homemade produce, Highland-inspired gifts and thoughtfully designed Nether Glenny items.
Meet your hosts
Your hosts throughout Coos & Views are Matt and Alison Woods, owners of Nether Glenny Farm. We love sharing our farm, our animals and our story, and Coos & Views reflects the way we live and work here every day.
